The hyperactive red-headed bird enters a turf war with a big city lawyer wanting to tear down his home in an effort to build a house to flip.
The first trailer for the live-action/CG animated feature film adaptation of the classic cartoon Woody Woodpecker has been released and it looks absolutely terrible! The story for the film follows “the hyperactive red-headed bird, who enters a turf war with a big city lawyer wanting to tear down his home in an effort to build a house to flip.”
As I watched this painfully annoying trailer, I couldn’t help but keep wondering why in the hell this movie was made. I know that this is only getting a home entertainment release, but Universal Pictures still spent money on making this thing and it seems like a waste.
The trailer is packed full of zany weirdness that includes a spaztastic Woody pooping on people and just going completely nuts! They tried to keep the character true to the cartoon version of the character.
The classic cartoon character Woody Woodpecker is heading to the big screen thanks to Universal Pictures, who are set to release a live-action/CG-hybrid movie from director Alex Zamm (Inspector Gadget 2, Jingle All the Way 2), and you can take a look at the first international teaser trailer here courtesy of Dark Horizons…
Eric Bauza is lending his voice to Woody Woodpecker for the film, while the rest of the voice cast includes Thaila Ayala, Graham Verchere, Jordana Largy, Adrian Glynn McMorran, Chelsea Miller and Jakob Davies. It is set for release in Brazil in October, although as yet there’s no word on a UK or Us date.
Universal Pictures have released the international trailer for their upcoming live-action/ animated movie Woody Woodpecker, based on the popular cartoon of the same name.
The very brief teaser, titled Pica-Pau internationally, shows off some footage from the upcoming movie, which opens in Brazil in October of 2017 with other markets coming shortly afterwards.
Timothy Omundson, Alex Zamm (Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, Inspector Gadget 2) directs from a script he co-wrote with William Roberts. Thaila Ayala, Graham Verchere, Jordana Largy, Adrian Glynn McMorran, Chelsea Miller and Jakob Davies star in the film, with Eric Bauza providing the voice of Woody Woodpecker.

According to IMDb, Woody Woodpecker is coming to theaters in 2017 in his first ever movie. Which is odd, since we’ve heard little to nothing at all about it. Today, we have a look at the annoying bird courtesy of Imp Awards. This one-sheet is for international audiences, which has us wondering if this is even going to get a proper release on America shores.
The Woody Woodpecker movie is taking on an environmentally conscious theme, and will tackle social issues with a deft hand at the comedy fans have come to know and love. The plot finds the hyperactive red-head entering a turf war with a big city lawyer who wants to tear down his home. This is all in an effort to build a house to flip.
