One year after the events of “Kickboxer: Vengeance”, Kurt Sloan has vowed never to return to Thailand. However, while gearing up for a MMA title shot, he finds himself sedated and forced back into Thailand, this time in prison. He is there because the ones responsible want him to face a 6’8″ 400 lbs. beast named Mongkut and in return for the fight, Kurt will get two million dollars and his freedom back. Kurt at first refuses, in which a bounty is placed on his head as a way to force him to face Mongkut. Kurt soon learns he will have no other choice and will undergo his most rigorous training yet under some unexpected mentors in order to face Mongkut in hopes to regain his freedom.

Jean-Claude Van Damme is officially returning for “Kickboxer: Retaliation,” the sequel to “Kickboxer: Vengeance.”
The Belgian actor had starred in “Kickboxer: Vengeance” as a karate master. He played the lead in the original 1989 “Kickboxer.” Dimitri Logothetis (Stephen King’s “Sleepwalkers”), who holds two black belts, is the writer and producer of “Kickboxer: Vengeance,” and is directing the sequel.
Van Damme signed his contract live on video via his official Facebook page this week. “Jc brings his charisma and martial arts talents to ‘Kickboxer’ as no other actor can,” Logothetis said.
Filming begins in Thailand next week. The sequel also stars Mike Tyson, Ronaldinho, and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson.
“Kickboxer: Retaliation” is produced by Our House Film. Rob Hickman is producing and Larry Nealy and Steven Swadling are the executive producers.

Former world champion boxer Mike Tyson has joined “Kickboxer: Retaliation,” the sequel to “Kickboxer: Vengeance.”
“Kickboxer: Retaliation” is currently filming in California and Nevada and will head back to Thailand in June for final principal photography.
“This is a monumental moment for us,: said producer Robert Hickman of Our House Films. “We have already signed on 14 champions from the sporting world, mostly decorated fighters from the Ufc, being able to add Mike Tyson as a cast member adds a whole new element and excitement to the film.”
