The first trailer for the true story war film 12 Strong: The Declassified True Story of the Horse Soldiers has been released online. Based on the book Horse Soldiers by Doug Stanton, the film recounts how in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, a group of CIA paramilitary officers and Us Special Forces are sent to Afghanistan to join General Abdul Rashid Dostum in the fight against the Taliban.

The film stars Hemsworth as Green Beret Captain Mitch Nelson, a man sent on a dangerous mission to Afghanistan in the harrowing days after the 9/11 attacks.

The 49-year-old actor — who portrays Bruce Banner/The Hulk in The Avengers and Thor films — shared with Et’s Cameron Mathison during a junket for the comic book sequel that moviegoers may spot his three kids, Keen, 16, Bella, 12, and Odette, 9, in one of the scenes.
“I don’t know if you can see them …but they were in the car in the party scene where Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is taking [Bruce] Baner (Ruffalo) around this crazy new place,” he revealed. “They were in that scene, they were dressed up as Dr. Seuss characters basically. They were on set all day.”

The handsome star recently filmed the upcoming war drama Horse Soldiers opposite his wife of almost seven years, and Hemsworth opened up to Et about the “fantastic” experience.
“It felt like a little holiday, you know? Because the kids stayed in L.A. and Elsa and I got to go to Albuquerque, [New Mexico] for a week and kind of work together and hang out,” he shared.
“That period for us was a great opportunity to just kind of hang out,” he added. “We didn’t have to do much rehearsing as far as playing husband and wife.”

Aladdin Gets Homeland Star as Jafar’s Henchman Hakim
Just a few weeks after we reported that The Mummy remake star Marwan Kenzari is in talks to play the villainous Jafar in Disney’s Aladdin reboot, it seems the studio has also found the villain’s right-hand man. Turkish actor Numan Acar is in talks to portray Hakim, who serves as the “head of the guards” for Jafar in this live-action remake. There was a guard character named Hakim, voiced by Frank Welker, in the original Aladdin movie, but it seems he will be a much more substantial character in this live-action movie.
Deadline broke the news of this casting, but their report did not include Marwan Kenzari as part of the cast, so perhaps his deal has not been finalized at this time.
